Basketball Matches

The central gameplay of Basketballverse revolves around street basketball matches.

You have the freedom to select any character from your collection and choose the preferable team size - 1vs1, 2vs2, 3vs3, 4v4, or 5vs5. Furthermore, you can engage in matches with other players, exploring various match modes.

We differentiate between two main match modes:

  • Normal Game. These are regular games designed for players that want to play a ‘friendly’ match with no pressure. Wins and losses have no consequences or impact on the ranking system.

  • Ranked Game. Engaging in ranked matches determines your position in the game's ranking system. Performance and result of these matches have more importance and foster a competitive environment!

Aside from two main match modes, Basketballverse offers a few additional match options:

  • Tournament Game. This mode is focused on 1vs1 matches arranged in a tournament structure. Players compete against each other, aiming to progress through the rounds and emerge as the ultimate champion. Tournaments can have different sizes, involving 8, 16, or 32 people, adding excitement and intensity to the gameplay experience.

  • Duel Game. In this mode players place bets using the in-game currency BVR before the match begins. The winner of the match receives the prize, which consists of combined wagers from both players. In duel games players can take calculated risks for potential rewards.

Overall, Basketballverse players can enjoy casual matches for entertainment, participate in ranked matches for competitive gameplay, join tournaments for intense competition, or engage in duels where they can put in-game currency for a chance to win a bigger prize.

Rules

Simplicity is key to making the game fun, so Basketballverse only has a one of them - the first team to get 21 points wins the match (this is subject to change).

The match is played across the full court with the camera centered in the middle. The camera follows the ball, trying to make the presentation as centered as possible for both sides to get the best view of the game.
